Melbourne Victory striker Fred has been charged with violent conduct and cited to appear before a Football Federation Australia disciplinary committee following Saturday's A-League soccer match against Sydney FC.
Fred appeared to collect Sydney FC's Mark Milligan across the throat in a 59th-minute clash.
