KEY POINTS:
Neil Fox's performance in refereeing Wednesday's New Zealand Football Championship match between Auckland City and Waitakere United is to come under scrutiny.
"We are not going to point fingers at this stage," said NZFC league manager Glyn Taylor yesterday. "Just as we are not going to sweep it under the carpet."
Taylor, who was not at the match, said he had obvious concerns when told of the 19 cards flashed by Fox as City stormed back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 in a match which stretched to more than 100 minutes.
"At this stage I just want to go through the process," said Taylor. "I will be looking at the assessor's report and those from the two clubs.
"I am also keen to have a look at the video footage of the match."
It should be remembered Fox was No 2 on the referees panel and a Fifa badge holder, said Taylor.
* Auckland City have appointed Paul Marshall as head coach for the remainder of the NZFC season.
Marshall steps in as the third coach of the 2006-07 season after Roger Wilkinson's departure and Allan Jones' temporary return to take the team to this month's Fifa Club World Cup in Japan.
