Former All Whites striker Vaughan Coveny has signed for new A-league club the Wellington Phoenix.
After a month of discussions, the 35-year-old has joined the franchise on a two-year contract.
Coveny said the negotiations took longer than expected but there was a lot to work through as the Phoenix is a new club.
Coveny is the club's 13th signing and brings the number of New Zealanders joining to seven.
