Holders Western Suburbs will face former winners and cross-town Wellington rivals Miramar Rangers in the pick of the Chatham Cup quarterfinal soccer ties scheduled later this month.
Elsewhere, Dunedin powerhouse Caversham will host Canterbury's Nomads United, Hamilton United will travel to beaten 2006 finalists North Shore United while Central United host Eastern Suburbs.
Westerns Suburbs ended the giant-killing run of Wairarapa United to squeeze into the last eight but needed a goal in extra time to advance 2-1 while Central United also made the last eight in spine tingling circumstances by edging East Coast Bays 4-3 on penalties after tie finished 3-3 after regulation and extra time.
Miramar and Eastern Suburbs took an easier route with 5-0 and 6-2 wins over Napier City Rovers and Metro respectively.
North Shore eased past visiting Manurewa 2-1, Nomads were 3-0 winners over fellow Christchurch club Western while Caversham won 5-2 at Roslyn Wakari.
Meanwhile, Eastern Suburbs will also be represented in the quarterfinals of the women's Knockout Cup after ending Lynn Avon United's run of five successive titles with a 4-1 win on penalties after the scores were deadlocked at 3-3 after extra time.
Hamilton's Claudelands Rovers drew home advantage but a tough opponent in Western Springs after last season's beaten finalists embarrassed Bay Olympic 15-0.
The other women's quarterfinals pit Massey University against Seatoun while Roslyn Wakari will host Western.
The Chatham Cup quarterfinals will be held on July 21 and 22. The women's matches are scheduled for July 22.
