He wants A-League football, but Michael Boxall may be forced out of his favoured position if he's to get it.
The new Wellington Phoenix defender has to fight skipper Andrew Durante and All White Ben Sigmund who are well established as the centre backs.
However with Emmanuel 'Manny' Muscat set to revert to midfield this season, Boxall's best chance of cracking the starting 11 might be at right back.
He says he's happy to slot in wherever he's needed.
"Centre back's definitely my preferred position, but I feel like I could do a job at either but whatever the manager sees best is what we're going to see more of."
