A return to the Wellington Phoenix starting eleven may come sooner rather than later for bench-warming goalkeeper Mark Paston.
Paston's spent most of the season backing up import Tony Warner, however a late blunder from the Englishman in the Phoenix's 1-0 loss at home to Perth may prove Paston's saviour.
Coach Ricki Herbert has refused to give much away but says he'll look at the tape.
He says the ball was swirling in heavy wind at Westpac Stadium, but they'll review the match and know that some one of Paston's a quality replacement if justified.
Wellington remains in fourth on the A-League ladder, after fifth placed Sydney FC fell to Central Coast 1-0.
