David Beckham has been sensationally dumped by new England football coach Steve McClaren.
The former captain has missed out on McClaren's first England squad, to play Greece at Old Trafford next week, raising speculation that his international career may be over after 94 caps.
Beckham, who quit as captain after England's quarter-final exit from the World Cup in July, was replaced by John Terry.
McClaren says he was after a fresh start.
He says he spoke to Beckham last Monday, telling him he wanted to plan for the future and he was not included.
Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell and goalkeeper David James have also been omitted, while McClaren has announced that former England coach Terry Venables would be his assistant.
West Ham United striker Dean Ashton has been selected for the first time, while there have been recalls for strikers Jermain Defoe and Marcus Bent.
