KEY POINTS:
A reduction in the All Whites' international schedule could be one impact of likely changes to New Zealand Football's operations. NZF is looking to cut costs and improve surpluses as it attempts to make amends for a projected $834,000 loss in 2007, its fourth consecutive budget deficit.
The NZF board is likely to adopt a new plan which will see the All Whites take on international fixtures only if the organisation is guaranteed to at least break even.
Meanwhile the Wellington Phoenix have finished bottom of the A-League after a 2-nil loss to the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford. The result pushes the Mariners to the top of the table and keeps alive their bid for the minor premiership.
Tom Pondeljak and John Aloisi, younger brother of Phoenix captain Ross Aloisi, scored for the Mariners.
