CAIRO (AP) Senegal won't be allowed to play the second leg of its World Cup playoff tie against Ivory Coast at home because a ban on the Leopold Senghor stadium in Dakar still applies.
The Confederation of African Football says Senegal will have to play its home leg outside the country.
CAF imposed a one-year ban on the stadium for a riot there last October, when Senegal was hosting Ivory Coast in an African Cup qualifier. The game was stopped in the second half with Ivory Coast leading 2-0. Senegal also was disqualified from the African Cup and fined.
Senegal and Ivory Coast meet for a place at the World Cup this time, with the first leg in Ivory Coast next month and the second in neutral territory in November.
