WARSAW, Poland (AP) Poland's football federation has chosen Adam Nawalka as the new coach of the national team.
The 56-year-old Nawalka succeeds Waldemar Fornalik who was fired earlier this month after Poland's 2-0 loss to England in a World Cup qualifier.
The federation announced the appointment Saturday on its website. Nawalka, who currently coaches Polish team Gornik Zabrze, starts the job on Friday.
Nawalka played more than 30 times for Poland.
