A Kenyan high school high jump competition is something that needs to be seen to be believed.
With soaring hot temperatures, dead grass and a large group of enthusiastic supporters on the sidelines, this clip shows two incredible Kenyan student athletes taking on the high jump -- but with a twist.
Not only did the competitors successfully hurdle themselves over an incredibly tall high jump bar, but they also managed to do it without the help of a mat to land on.
According to Mashable, the height of the bar was over six feet tall... and one of the athletes even braved the high jump without shoes.
The now-viral video -- which has reached more than 3.1 million views on YouTube was taken by Michael Stewart, a Run for Life volunteer. He obtained the incredible footage while observing a track meet outside the town of Mosoriot.
