When a German groundsman decided to merge a soccer pitch with an American football field, he could not have foreseen the confusion his creation would cause.
The American football posts were planted behind the soccer goal, but that didn't stop them playing a major role in an amateur game in Germany.
The game took a farcical turn when SC Vier-und-Marschlande striker Patrick Westermann took a long range shot which Altona keeper Marcel Kindler tipped over the bar and out of play.
Or so he thought.
The ball bounced back into play of the football posts, the ref bizarrely waved play on and another SC Vier-und-Marschlande striker smashes the rebound into the net.
