With hundreds of football games caught on camera around the world each week it's no surprise 'miss the season' videos do the rounds on a regular basis. That doesn't make them any less watchable.
It's time for reigning holder of 'miss the season', Pilo to move aside. The latest owner of that title is Nicoletta Den Ridder of the Belgian football team Beerschot Ladies.
Den Ridder's howler came in a 2-0 defeat to Ajax last week at a vital time with her side already trailing by a goal.
Following a free-kick attempt the ball hit the post and bounced straight into Den Ridder's path, who like all good attacking players was following the shot. Unfortunately that's where her good play ended.
With a certain goal on offer Den Ridder sent her attempt over the crossbar from just two metres away from an open net.
