St Neots Town's centre-half Rene Steer unleashed a 40-yard thunderbolt against Canvey Island in Tuesday night's FA Cup second qualifying round replay.
With a clearance from a corner rolling innocuously away from goal, Steer took on a fast bowler's run up and released the kind of strike most Non-league footballers couldn't even dream of.
It flies it off the underside of the bar, leaving the Canvey keeper grasping at thin air.
The wild celebrations were short lived however, as Canvey went on to win 2-1. It may not have been the result St Neot's were after, but they can be assured of some time on the video montages in the latter stages of the competition.
