ATHENS, Greece (AP) Costas Mitroglou's lucky 13th goal of the season in the 90th minute gave defending champion Olympiakos a 1-0 win over perennial rival Panathinaikos in the Greek league on Saturday.
It looked as if the tense game would end scoreless until David Fuster's pass found Mitroglou unmarked on the left side of Panathinaikos' area and the league's leading scorer wasted no time in scoring with a low drive, stunning the home crowd.
The win kept Olympiakos atop the standings after 10 games, three points clear of PAOK, a 2-1 winner over Ergotelis. The latter, along with Giannena, a 1-0 winner over Platanias, share fourth place with Panathinaikos, 14 points behind Olympiakos.
