ATHENS, Greece (AP) Costas Mitroglou scored twice and Joel Campbell had four assists to give leader Olympiakos an easy 5-1 victory over visiting OFI in the Greek league Sunday.
Jose Holebas, Yannis Maniatis and Sambou Yatabare also scored for Olympiakos. Andreas Lambropoulos had given OFI an early lead.
For the second straight game, the defending champions found themselves behind, this time after just 11 seconds. A deep ball right after kickoff was headed by Thanassis Papazoglou into the path of Lambropoulos, whose shot from the edge of the area ricocheted off the right post into the net. But, this time they only trailed for three minutes. Campbell crossed from the right and Mitroglou, abandoned by his defender, scored easily with a close-range header.
Olympiakos missed several chances to take the lead before halftime. From the 39th to the 43rd minute, Mitroglou twice failed to score while alone with OFI goalkeeper Iosif Daskalakis and had a penalty saved by the keeper.
Mitroglou gave Olympiakos the lead for good in the 52nd, with his league-leading 12th strike, also a header from Campbell's cross. Six minutes later, Holebas made it 3-1 with a curling free kick and Campbell provided two more assists in the space of two minutes. In the 85th, he stole the ball near the left byline and threaded it through the defense into the path of Maniatis who only had to push it into the net from point-blank range. A minute later, he passed outside the area to Yatabare who scored with a drive.
