COMMERCE CITY, Colorado (AP) An own goal by Jose Goncalves handed the Colorado Rapids a 2-1 win over New England Revolution in Wednesday's MLS action.
New England took the lead through Juan Toja, who notched his first MLS goal in five years.
Nick LaBrocca equalized for Colorado, collecting his first goal of the season with a shot from 30 yards.
The winner came when Dillon Powers took a shot from the right. Goncalves tried to cut off the past before it reached the goalkeeper but succeeded only in putting it into his own net.
The Revolution has not won in Colorado since 2002. They played their fifth straight game without Juan Agudelo, who is recovering from an injured right knee.
