65 - Cameron Howieson comes on for his second All White cap, replacing Marco Rojas.
63 - Chris Wood drives a powerful freekick just around the post from 30 yards out. A good effort.
59 - Jeremy Brockie unleashes a cannon of a right foot from about 35 yards out but the ball whistles past the far post. New Zealand have looked a lot more dangerous in the second half.
50 - Great hold up play and vision from Chris Wood finds a late running Aaron Clapham in the box, but he mis-times his volley which trickles wide. Would have been a great goal.
46 - Ricki Herbert has made two changes at halftime with Chris Wood and Michael Boxall replacing Shane Smeltz and Ben Sigmund.
45 - The halftime whistle sounds and New Zealand head into the sheds 1-0 up. After a very dull first half New Zealand scored with their first real attack, and Smeltz did what he does best, nodding home from close range.
43 - GOAL - NZ 1 Honduras 0. Shane Smeltz pops up to head a pin point Jeremy Brockie cross home to put the All Whites 1-0 up. Great build up play and a clinical finish from Smeltz.
41 - We finally see a decent shot on goal, as Honduras midfielder Carlo Costley whistles a shot into the side netting. It looked like Paston had it covered, but a rare glimpse of entertainment in a dull first half.
32 - Suazo breaks free on the right hand side once again but his finishing lets him down. It looks like a difficult, bobbly pitch to strike a ball on.
31 - Leo Bertos whips in a dangerous cross that the Honduras defence has to whisk away for a corner. New Zealand's first real dangerous attack.
24 - Leo Bertos cuts in on this left foot and unleashes New Zealand's first shot at goal, unfortunately it ends up in row Z, a well wayward effort.
19 - An early injury to Ian Hogg has forced Ricki Herbert to make an early change. Leo Bertos comes on to replace the left back.
12 - David Suazo has the first shot on goal for Honduras but his sliced effort does not go close to troubling Mark Paston.
8 - Both sides are struggling with both their footing and control on this pitch. A scrappy start.
3 - We are underway on a difficult looking pitch at the Cotton Bowl Stadium. The All Whites are playing in their traditional 3-4-3 formation with Barbarouses, Smeltz and Rojas once again the All Whites attacking unit.
0 - The lineups are named and the All Whites have made two changes from their match against El Salvador with Jeremy Brockie and Aaron Clapham coming into the starting lineup and Leo Bertos and Michael Boxall dropping to the bench. There has been a delay in the kick off time with the match expected to get underway shortly.
