LONDON (AP) West Ham ramped up the pressure on Fulham and its under-fire manager Martin Jol by ending a five-match winless run with a 3-0 victory in the Premier League on Saturday.
Mohamed Diame put West Ham ahead in the 47th minute before goals by substitutes Carlton Cole and Joe Cole condemned Fulham to a fifth straight defeat, keeping the visitors in the bottom three.
Jol acknowledged his job was on the line heading into back-to-back derbies against West Ham and then Tottenham on Wednesday, and this lackluster performance will do nothing to improve his prospects.
"It is not in my hands," Jol said when asked about his future. "If I have to worry, I was probably worried a couple of months ago . It is probably the last two months we have been inconsistent."
