STOKE, England (AP) Norwich claimed its second Premier League win of the season as Jonny Howson's first-half goal proved enough to beat sluggish Stoke 1-0 on Sunday.
The midfielder collected a lay-off by Anthony Pilkington and rifled home a low shot from outside the area in the 34th minute for Norwich's first away goal of the campaign.
Ryan Bennett had earlier hit the crossbar with a header for Norwich, which outplayed Stoke in the first half and encountered few problems after the break to keep only a second away clean sheet in 42 Premier League matches.
The visitors ended a run of two straight losses and moved alongside Stoke on seven points from the first six games.
