French World Cup players stormed a post-match press conference and showered coach Didier Deschamps with champagne following their victory in the World Cup final over Croatia this morning.
Deschamps had just begun talking to the media when the team crashed the press conference chanting their coaches name. At one point defender Benjamin Mendy jumped on a table in celebration while players poured champagne on their coach.
Following France's 4-2 victory in today's final, Deschamps became just the third person to win the World Cup as a player and as a coach.
Deschamps was captain of the France squad that won the World Cup on home soil in 1998.
He joins Franz Beckenbauer (Germany) and Mario Zagallo (Brazil) in an elite trio that has won the title on the field and from the bench.
