A leading British trade union has protested to the European Commission and European football's governing body over the sacking of Ahn, a spokesman says.
The GMB union, one of Britain's largest, represents footballers in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It says the sacking sets "a very dangerous precedent for all players".
The GMB is urging the European Commission and Uefa to intervene.
Spokesman Dan Hodges said GMB hoped the European Commission would look at the case from the employment point of view, and Uefa from the point of view of any implications for its tournaments.
He said the sacking put the livelihood of thousands of footballers plying their trade abroad at risk.
