Trinidad & Tobago, reduced to 10 men for almost the entire second half, excelled on their soccer World Cup debut by holding fancied Sweden to a 0-0 draw this morning.
The Caribbean side found themselves down to 10 men in the first minute of the second half when defender Avery John received a second yellow card for making a lunging tackle on Christian Wilhelmsson.
Though Sweden pressed throughout almost the entire second period, they found it hard to break down the resolute Trinidad defence and keeper Shaka Hislop made a string of great saves.
