Key playmaker Alexander Mostovoi has recovered from his thigh injury and will play in Russia's opening match against Tunisia next Wednesday in Kobe.
The 33-year-old, whose creative ability is important to Russia's hopes of progressing to the second round, has been training alone in a bid to shake off the problem.
Russia are also grouped with Belgium and co-hosts Japan.
