The Football Association of Ireland is not renewing Brian Kerr's contract, ending speculation about the national coach's future after Ireland failed to qualify for the soccer World Cup.
Kerr, who succeeded Mick McCarthy as manager in early 2003, faced a barrage of criticism for a lacklustre World Cup campaign that ended last week after Ireland failed to overcome Switzerland.
