All Whites coach Ricki Herbert has announced he will stay in New Zealand as coach of the Wellington Phoenix for at least the next three years.
There had been speculation Herbert would move to an overseas club after the All Whites' success at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, but he confirmed he would be staying put at a press conference in Wellington this afternoon.
Under 49-year-old Herbert, the All Whites qualified for the World Cup and finished as the competition's only unbeaten team.
Some media are reporting Herbert is staying as All Whites coach as well, but NZPA reported talks about his role with the All Whites with New Zealand Football were ongoing.
