The future of All Whites and Wellington Phoenix soccer coach Ricki Herbert is expected to be unveiled at a press conference in Wellington tomorrow.
Much speculation has swirled around Herbert's coaching future in New Zealand since he returned from the World Cup in South Africa after guiding the All Whites through an unbeaten group campaign.
New Zealand drew with Slovakia, defending champions Italy and Paraguay but failed to advance to the last 16 after drawing their final group game with Paraguay while Slovakia beat Italy. Following Spain's victory over the Netherlands in today's final, New Zealand ended up as the team not to lose a match during the tournament.
Herbert's achievements in South Africa put him in the spotlight as one of the most successful coaches at this year's World Cup but the lowest paid, prompting speculation he would soon be heading for greener pastures.
A newspaper report this morning tipped Herbert would remain at the helm of both the All Whites and the Phoenix.
