TAEGU - Denmark were lucky to get away with one point in their 1-1 draw with debutants Senegal, Danish coach Morten Olsen said tonight.
"I think we can be happy with one point because I thought we had good control of the game in the first half because they could only play long balls and we were very dangerous on the counter-attack," he said.
"In the second half, we didn't play how we wanted to because of the heat and Senegal were the better team," he added
"I think we were lucky in this game to get a point."
Olsen said Senegal were dangerous on corners and set pieces. "They are physical and playing in 30 degrees is something for Africans but difficult for Europeans."
Denmark play World champions France in their final game on June 11.
Olsen said it would help Denmark and Senegal if Uruguay beat France in their match later on Thursday, but he added that everything was up for grabs in the group.
"Our group is four teams who can beat each other," he said.
"Everything is possible in football on the day. If we are to get something out of that game against France, we have to have a day when, surely in the second half, we can play better football than today."
