There's only one way to get over jet-lag and that's back on the pitch. Although it was not just the jet-lag that was a distraction, the scenery around this field was breath taking. Thank god it's not pre-season because I'm sure we'd be running up the massive hills that surround the ground.
After lunch we were lucky enough to be taken on a tour of a huge monastery with the town mayor. This place was built back in the fifteen hundreds and was in amazing condition. One of the perks of being a professional footballer is travelling to amazing places and this was right up there.
It was back to work however and the evening session was a full sided game for around half an hour, until the heavens opened up. The beautiful scenery quickly turned dark as lighting rolled in over the hills. It seemed the bad weather had been following us around the world.
