It was back to school today as we prepared for our match against Serbia.
We are lucky enough to have the services of Chris Bradley, a performance analyst who is based in the UK. Chris, who is affectionately known as Joe (due to his striking resemblance of poker star Joe Hachem) will provide video footage of our games and of our opponents.
Gone are the days where players fall asleep while the coach plays noughts and crosses on the white board. Chris cut up footage of our game against the chopper'oos, I mean soccer'oos and played them back while Ricki ran through the finer points.
It's the best way a player can see where he's gone wrong or where he's saved the day. It also gives us a chance to spy on our opposition. Chris can provide the team with footage of our rivals and how they play, their strengths and weaknesses.
We are graced with the presence of Cole Peverley, a top lad how has been in the national team set up before. Cole has a great attitude and will fit perfectly into a tight-knit squad. Brownie, we haven't forgotten you bro and wish you a speedy recovery.
Tonight (NZ time) we play Serbia, ranked 15 in the world...Stay tuned.
