All Whites wing-back Deklan Wynne has backed his side's quality to steamroll their Fijian opposition in Lautoka on Saturday.
The 21-year-old left-back has rapidly risen to first-choice contention in the white shirt since his 2016 debut, racking up six appearances.
But it was all nearly snatched away from the South African-born player, when he found himself at the centre of an eligibility mix-up that cost New Zealand a spot at the 2016 Olympic Games.
New Zealand's under-23 side, the Oly-Whites, were disqualified from the Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament in July, after protests over Wynne's eligibility.
He has since been granted an exemption from FIFA to play for the All Whites and told reporters today he had put the saga behind him.
