The England and Belgium final group G game at the Fifa World Cup was never going to be the game of the tournament.
Both sides were guaranteed a spot in the second round after wins over Panama and Tunisia and there was 17 lineup changes across both teams for the game in Kaliningrad. So it was more England B vs the Belgium 2nd XI.
Adnan Januzaj's curling strike sent Belgium into the last 16 as group winners by sealing a 1-0 victory. It was a nice goal. But it wasn't the highlight of the game.
And no, the highlight wasn't a goalmouth scramble late in the second, a shameless plug of the Herald's World Cup blog by the Belgian players who are clearly fans of our work.
The best moment of the game, and possibly the tournament, went to Michy Batshuayi who celebrated his side's goal by kicking the ball into the post and wearing the rebound in the head.
