New Zealand referee Matthew Conger will be in charge of the Group D clash between Iceland and Nigeria on Saturday morning
The 39-year-old Palmerston North teacher is among 36 officials at the tournament.
He will be supported by fellow Kiwi Simon Lount as his first assistant referee and Tevita Makasini from Tonga as his second assistant referee.
Conger has previously refereed at the 2015 Under 20 World Cup, 2017 Under 20 World Cup and the Rio Olympics - where he was in charge of Nigeria's win over Sweden.
Saturday's game in Volgograd is practically a must-win for Nigeria after the African side dropped their opening clash against Croatia.
