Matches at the 2022 Qatar World Cup could start at 1am, under a proposal made by a senior official.
Due to high temperatures one idea floated is to play games in the middle of the night at the 2022 tournament.
Harold Mayne-Nicholls, who is considering challenging Sepp Blatter for the Fifa presidency, told the BBC that the event could still be staged in the summer.
"You could play the first games at 7pm, the second games at 10pm and the third matches at 1am," he told BBC Sport.
That would mean matches would end around 3.30am local time. At this year's tournament in Brazil, the latest kickoff time was 10pm.
