"Fortunately enough, we have another game on Tuesday, so we'll go again then. The games are coming thick and fast now and we need to go to Bournemouth and make sure we pick up some points."
He wasn't given the chance to make up for that, though, as West Ham still struggled to keep the ball out of their own goal.
West Ham led 1-0 through Collins but Dan Gosling equalised for Bournemouth before halftime.
Nathan Ake Bournemouth a 2-1 lead in the second half before two Marko Arnautovic goals - one from the penalty spot - had the Hammers up 3-2.
However, a controversial injury-time goal evened the ledger again when referee Bobby Maddly over-ruled his linesman in awarding a goal to Ryan Wilson with the Hammers' defence vainly appealing for hand-ball.
As a result, West Ham remain in 17th place, one spot outside of the relegation zone.
Fellow All White Chris Wood was also not sighted on the football pitch today, held out of Burnley's 2-2 draw against Manchester United due to injury.
Wood suffered a knee injury against Tottenham last weekend and was not risked for the clash at Old Trafford, however manager Sean Dyche was hopeful the Kiwi striker wouldn't miss much more time.
"We'll have to wait and see on Chris, He suffered a minor tweak to his knee on Saturday, which is not ideal, so we'll see how it settles down," Dyche told Burnley's website.
