Former Phoenix striker Paul Ifill has signed for Team Wellington and will play for the league-leaders for the remainder of the 2014-15 ASB Premiership season.
The 35-year-old ruptured his achilles playing for the Phoenix in December, 2013 but has been working hard to get back on the field, and will be a huge boost to Team Wellington's ASB Premiership title aspirations.
Ifill is the Phoenix's all-time leading scorer and has been training with the Phoenix for several months, with aspirations of returning to the A-League. But he hasn't been able to feature for their reserve side as he no longer has a professional contract with the club.
Team Wellington, who lead Auckland City FC by two points in the league, have also strengthened their defensive stocks by signing former All White Ian Hogg.
