Sergio Aguero is set to miss the Manchester derby after being charged with violent conduct by the FA on Tuesday.
The Manchester City striker threw an elbow at West Ham's Winston Reid during Sunday's 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium.
Referee Andre Marriner was only a few yards away from the incident but did not spot Reid being hit in the jaw.
It means Aguero is facing a three-match ban which will keep him out of the first derby under Pep Guardiola at Old Trafford a week on Saturday.
The 28-year-old, who has scored six goals already this season, has until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge.
