Kiwi football legend Ryan Nelsen has re-emerged...as a big money player representative.
Nelsen has been identified as the man representing New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga, who made a $7.7m move to struggling English Premier League champions Chelsea last week.
Nelsen, the driving force in New Zealand's 2010 World Cup glories, had an ill-fated burst as a coach before he was sacked by MLS club Toronto FC in late-2014 after only 19 months in charge.
Goal.com reported: "The 20-year-old (Miazga) signed with an agency backed by (businessman) Kia Joorabchian in the spring of 2015 and is represented specifically by former Blackburn, Tottenham and QPR defender Ryan Nelsen."
The 38-year-old Nelsen - like Miazga a central defender - had a superb career with D.C. United in Washington, before making a highly successful switch to the EPL with Blackburn Rovers.
