Former All Whites coach Ricki Herbert has reportedly applied for the Indian head coaching job.
Herbert, who departed the New Zealand role after failing to qualify for this year's World Cup, is currently coaching Indian Super League side NorthEast United.
According to Goal.com, Herbert has applied for the job of Indian national team coach, currently vacant after the departure of Dutchman Wim Koevermans.
Koevermans stepped down this month after two years in the role.
India are currently ranked 158th in the world and 30th in Asia.
