Hawke's Bay United will clinch a playoff place with a point from next week's clash with WaiBOP United in Napier or with a Wellington Phoenix loss or draw against Canterbury United.
Fifth-placed Wellington Phoenix remain in the hunt for a top four spot but will need to win both of their remaining matches against Canterbury United and Auckland City while a win for Waitakere United in next weekend's derby clash with Auckland City FC would seal their top four place regardless of what the Phoenix do against Canterbury.
Tinsley's goal takes the Hawke's Bay midfielder up to joint third in the Golden Boot standings with seven for the season.
Angell said his side's sluggish start on Sunday has been par for the course for the majority of the season.
"It's actually the 11th game we've gone behind," Angell said. I don't know why. I honestly don't understand why we start so slowly.
"There's a bit of vulnerability there which I can't quite put my finger on at the moment. It was just quicker this time. We were not at the races, didn't do the basics correctly and we got punished for it.
But after conceding the early goal, his team rebounded and began to establish their rhythm which eventually saw the visitors get what they needed out of their trip south.
"We actually started to get a foothold in the game, we started to pass the ball and we started to link better and that contributed to Viktor coming in and finishing it off very well.
"To be fair in the rest of the first half we were probably slightly disappointed we hadn't got a second goal when we had opportunities."
Angell says with a point - or a Wellington Phoenix loss or draw - next week still needed to confirm their semi-final berth, nothing will change in his camp.
"We need to keep moving forward and that's what we'll endeavour to do this week, nothing changes. It's great we put some daylight between us and the chasing pack.
We're going all out to keep our run going and we've got the final two home games and we want to get as many points as we can."
