The Central Coast Mariners have signed one of the biggest names in the A-League's history, with former Liverpool star Luis Garcia signing on until the end of the 2015-2016 season.
The Spaniard has competed on some of world football's biggest stages including time with with European heavyweights such as Atlético Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool.
When with Liverpool, Garcia won the Champions League during a very successful three-season stint where he scored 31 times for the club.
Although a big name, Garcia' on-field abilities are deserving of question, having last played when he came out of retirement to join the Indian Premier League, where he scored twice in 13 games.
At age 37, the 20-cap Spanish international's best days are long past him, but he may draw some big crowds for the struggling bottom-of-the-table Mariners.
