Striker Rory Fallon has been ruled out of the All Whites' World Cup qualifiers against New Caledonia because of a family bereavement.
The 34-year-old, who is looking to help the team qualify for his second World Cup, will miss the team's home game against New Caledonia on November 12 at QBE Stadium and the away leg on November 15 in Kone.
All Whites coach Anthony Hudson said the team felt for Fallon and his family.
"It is obviously not the news you ever want to hear for a member of the team, so our thoughts go out to Rory and the Fallon family," said Hudson.
"Rory is a big part of this team both on and off the pitch and he will be missed. We wish him all the best."
