England's 0-0 friendly with Ireland overnight may have lacked goals and quality but the Twitter reaction to the borefest has provided some entertainment at least for football fans.
The two sides squared off in the first Dublin friendly between the two rivals since 1995, when rioting English fans committed the worst football-related violence in Irish history.
England produced few chances on goal with Wayne Rooney getting little delivery in a dour affair. Neither side produced a shot on goal in the first half while there were just four chances in the second half.
Some went as far as saying it was England's worst ever game.
ITV aired the match and actually apologised to viewers following the game.
