They keep records for the quickest goals in football history, but England midfielder Fabian Delph might be the new holder of the record for quickest injury.
The Manchester City man started for England against Switzerland this morning, but lasted just nine seconds before suffering a hamstring injury and requiring a substitute.
Delph - who joined Manchester City from Aston Villa earlier this year - had suffered from hamstring problems during the pre-season, and this was to be the first competitive start of the 2015-2016 season for the 25-year old.
However, as he got into his first sprint for the game, his hamstring went, leaving him lying on the turf and signalling for a substitute after just nine seconds of action.
Everton midfielder Ross Barkley was the man to come on, in what must be one of the earliest substitutes in international football.
