The adjustment of chocolate wrappers to reflect the upcoming Euro 2016 has sparked a racism row in Germany.
Online debate is raging after supporters of anti-Islam group Pegida criticised a confectioner's decision to print images of non-white footballers on its chocolate bars instead of the usual picture of a blond-haired, blue-eyed boy.
Candymaker Ferrero swapped the usual blond boy on its 'Kinder' bars ahead of this summer's European Championships for photos of the German footballer players as children.
Among them are Jerome Boateng, whose father is from Ghana, and Ilkay Gundogan, whose parents are Turkish. White players are also included.
A regional branch of the anti-Islam Pegida movement asked on Facebook "Is this a joke?"
