Auckland City coach Ramon Tribulietx has been linked with A-League club the Brisbane Roar.
Roar football director Ken Stead travelled to New Zealand in March to interview Tribulietx, who is said to be a leading candidate for the club's coaching position, The Courier-Mail has reported.
The 42-year-old Spaniard led Auckland to the bronze medal at last year's FIFA Club World Cup, and has also guided the club to three consecutive Oceania Football Confederation Champions League titles and successive premierships in the ASB Premiership.
Tribulietx is currently in Fiji preparing for the OFC Champions League final against Team Wellington on Sunday.
Stead has said he is searching for a coach who fits the Roar's "football philosophy" and it is believed Tribulietx ticks all the boxes.
