Brazil have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Fifa U20 World Cup after beating Uruguay on penalties in New Plymouth tonight.
In a heated match that featured plenty of drama but no goals after 120 minutes of play, Brazil kept the coolest in the shootout, winning 5-4.
Uruguay midfielder Rodrigo Amaral was the only man to miss from the spot, crashing his sides second spot kick high over the goal.
Brazil will now travel to Hamilton to face Portugal on Sunday in a mouthwatering quarterfinal match up.
