Wellington Phoenix striker Tyler Boyd has signed a four-year deal with Portuguese club Vitoria SC and will leave the Wellington Phoenix when his contract expires at the end of the current season.
Phoenix head coach Ernie Merrick said Boyd had been keen to move to Europe.
"We have known for some time that Tyler wanted to play in Europe and I wish him all the best for the future," Merrick said.
Boyd, 20, was part of the Phoenix' first intake to its Football School of Excellence and was signed on a three-year professional contract.
