"After the World Cup there is always a low. We know how difficult it is to motivate everyone, not only the players, but everyone. It was a great run in Morocco and after that there is always a lethargic come back. We reduced that and on the field probably the readjustment of the way we were doing a couple of things, especially from the back with the ball, we came across the key to make sure we were competitive.
"The hunger these players have, because they have proved they like to keep winning, means that in every game they are very competitive.
"This is what we need to keep re-emphasising for this game. Just be humble, be respectful to Hawke's Bay - they deserve to be there of course - and they are going to put out a good performance. We just need to make sure we are humble with our performance, very respectful and compete like we always do."
Tribulietx says he expects Hawke's Bay to adopt a similar approach to their previous two meetings.
"They are difficult to break and I'm pretty sure they will put out a game plan that will make our passing in the middle third very difficult. Then they've obviously got that X factor with Sean Lovemore and the counter attack. He has scored a lot of goals but he has provided other goals and counter attacks.
"There are a few things to consider tactically and structurally that we need to make sure we control otherwise they have the potential to hurt us."
With back-to-back titles on the line and after their success on the world stage in December, Tribulietx underlined the importance of the ASB Premiership to his side.
"The Club World Cup is probably the icing on the cake. The real business for us is the national league and the Oceania Champions League which will give us the opportunity to compete at the Club World Cup if we are successful."
Meanwhile, Hawke's Bay United earned their first ever berth in the Grand Final last week; tipping out second-placed Team Wellington in a rousing semi-final second leg in the capital which put the visitors though on away goals.
Coach Brett Angell says his side will not waver from the script they've followed all season to reach the league's showcase match.
"We're preparing no differently," Angell said, "we've prepared throughout the season and we've tried to cover all bases and we're no different for this week. There's a little bit more of a feel around that it's a slightly different game but we're approaching it in exactly the same manner as we have done for any league game or even the playoff games.
"We will make sure we're physically and mentally prepared for what's to come. We recognise that it's not going to be easy but we go there full of confidence. We are not there by chance and we feel we can put on a good show and for the neutrals I'm sure it will be a good game of football."
Angell says it will be important for his side to have faith and focus fully on the quality of their performance just as much as trying to neutralise the threat of the competition heavyweights.
"We respect what Auckland are capable of doing. They have shown consistently what they are capable of but we're also aware of our dynamics. We feel that if we do the in possession stuff as well as we can, we're going to cause problems for them. If we switch off and don't focus defensively they are going to create issues for ourselves."
Angell challenged his team to rise to the occasion and use their tight 3-2 loss to Auckland City at Kiwitea Street as inspiration for their run at Grand Final glory.
"Sunday is a great opportunity and it may be the only one these players play in and we have involvement in. But we're there because we deserve to be there, not to make up the numbers. If I go back to when we were last there - it was a great game of football.
"I don't think there was anybody at that game who went away thinking we didn't deserve something from that game. I appreciate their group has changed, there are different players. But our group has changed as well because they've moved forward in their football development from that time in November."
"We respect the opposition but there is no reason to completely fear them. We are turning up there very much with the thought of going away with the trophy."
