ZURICH (AP) Football leaders from Kosovo and Serbia have met at FIFA, as the independent former Serbian province seeks recognition for its men's national team.
FIFA says President Sepp Blatter hosted talks with delegations led by Football Federation of Kosovo President Fadil Vokrri and his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Karadzic.
FIFA says the parties agreed to meet again next month, ahead of a Dec. 4-5 FIFA executive committee meeting in Brazil.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in February 2008. It is not a FIFA member though its youth, amateur, women's and club teams can play international friendly matches.
In May 2012, Blatter said his board gave clearance for all Kosovo's teams but the move was later stalled by UEFA-led opposition.
